A Posterslate is a hand-picked roofing slate salvaged from reconstruction efforts in New Orleans of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Artwork is printed in UV resistant inks and permanently applied to the slate’s surface. Christy signs these unique prints and a protective resin is applied to protect the artwork and the slate’s natural qualities. No two slates are exactly alike. The result is a one-of-a-kind, historic, eco-friendly, space-saving art piece that doesn’t require framing. Each slate’s size and shape is unique. Approximate size is 10”× 15”.
